A BIG one!

Happy 1st Advent Sunday!!! Now this post is gonna be a big one… I have so much I need to get out to you before I go on my vacation.

A BIG weekend!

It has been some weekend for me. Let me break it down for you:

FRIDAY

  • was my Birthday 🙂 Yes, another one… (47 for those who care about details)
  • was the day for the company Christmas Party
  • was my last day of work
  • had Birthday cake for dinner 🙂

SATURDAY

  • my mother dropped by to bring us the annual home made Christmas Wreath for the front door, and to cut half of my hair off – I hope I haven’t lost my super powers!

SUNDAY

  • washing, drying and packing
  • decorating for Christmas
  • learning to use the new camera
  • posting this mega-post for you

And TOMORROW I’m off to Bornholm – but not before I have spend a few hours in line at the unemployment centre to register for my sickness benefits! –  I get a bit tired just writing it all down.

Since I won’t be able to post for the next week, I have arranged this mega-post to get you all the freebies of next week. You are welcome to download them all at once or you can take each one on the day specified.

Let’s get started…..

TODAY (Sunday 30/11)

I want to celebrate my Birthday with a little colour fiesta, so I hereby offer you a pack of very colourful candy stripe papers – classic, rainbow and gradients. 6 in all.

SO far behind – Templates and Wallpaper

I am so far behind with everything. A head cold takes a lot of time to maintain. But now I think I’m ready to catch up with two freebies – Paper Templates and Wallpapers – and two CotM announcements – December and January.

Today’s Freebie – Paper Templates

Today’s freebie is a trip back to basics. I have made you 3 Paper Templates for dotted papers, striped papers and chequered papers (gingham). I have also included 4 papers made from the templates in colours fit for the upcoming Valentine’s Day. In the Zip you’ll find:

  • Layered PDS of each template (grey scale)
  • PNGs for each layer (grey scale) – can also be used as Overlays
  • 4 pink-red papers, JPG.

Everything is 12 x 12, 300 dpi, and as they are 100% me-made you are welcome to use it for CU4CU.

Commenters of the Months

This is where I am most behind. I have not selected a Commenter of the Monts since November 13. But now I am ready to announce the winners of December and January. Both have been selected by random draw and are not based on number of comments.

December

The winner of December 2013 is:

Commenter of the Month - Dec 13

January

The winner of January 2014 is:

Commenter of the Month - Jan 14Congratulations to you both. Your prizes will be in your mailboxes tomorrow (Sunday). And thank you to everyone for every single comment – they mean a lot to me.

Next Newsletter

First I want to thank for the MANY sign-ups over the last month. I am looking so much forward to writing the next NbF Newsletter now that I know so many will be reading it. I promise that I will make it worth your while in the March Newsletter where a special freebie will be added. But first I have to finish the February Newsletter. It will be in your inbox sometime next week.

Now enjoy your weekend and drop by again soon.

Let’s Trim The Tree

Welcome December!

It’s finally December and now the work begins. Today I will give you a chance to trim the tree, but maybe you want to wait a week or two if you a not a fan of pine needles all over the floor…

In my house we are spending the day decorating for Christmas and planning the rest of the month. It actually a rather cosy activity. But we will NOT trim the tree until Dec. 20th. Are you ready for the big day(s)? Here on NbF I will do my best this December to help you on your way when it comes to scrapping material. Because the creation of the Members Area (have you joined yet?) took a lot of time, I have not been able to make you an Advent Calendar this year. But I will still be posting a lot of Christmas material for you. The Members Area will also have lots of Christmas added, so join us before Christmas to get it all in time.

Please also check out this post from today.

Let’s Trim The Tree

As mentioned I take the fun part of Christmas first, so let’s “Trim The Tree”! Today’s Freebie is a Cluster / Border / Page frame I made mainly from one of Cajoline’s wonderful kits. I have included two versions in the zip: 1 12 inches with floor (as on the preview) and 1 9 inches without the floor. They are both 300 dpi PNGs.

Double Header

Hi again Dear Friends,

I can’t believe it’s been 2 weeks since my last post. I guess times fly when the sun is shining…. And it IS shining. I have now officially retired my winter coat, scarf and gloves and enjoy long walks in the sun.

This weekend is a long weekend here in Denmark – Friday/Saturday/Sunday Free! – so I want to make this a double feature: Two freebies for you today!

The first one is a Grab Bag and I better explain something about it. On my computer I have a folder called “Sand Box”. That is where I go playing around when I want to try out new products or techniques. I keep almost everything I make there so once in a while I need to clear out my Sand Box. The result of such a clean-out is your freebie 1 for today. All kinds of misc-mix that never made it into a product – you get papers, elements, an overlay and a QP. I hope you will find some kind of use for it.

Warning: It’s a big file (app. 75 MB).

Download links below the image.

!!! Links re-uploaded 2/5 2013 !!!

The second freebie is actually an oldie. It’s a template that made it from the Sand Box into my “Use” folder. It is the most basic template I can imagine but I use it often and thought you might find pleasure in it as well. So here it is – The Very Basic Template. It comes in PSD for you to fumble around with – I have left every layer open so you can add colours/patterns and move the slits around for larger or smaller pictures or replace it on the background. I have also included a PNG version for those without PS/PSE. Finally, I have included a layout of my own for example/inspiration. I have labelled this template CU4CU but actually you can use it however you like.

If you need help using the PSD please email me and I will guide you the best I can.

I hope you’ll all enjoy your weekend. I’ll try not to let 2 weeks pass by before posting again.

XOXO

Out of Rehab

Hi All,

I’m now out of rehab and do not think of Halloween (much) anymore. That is why I want to bring you something totally different from the last 6 week’s freebies. I have made you something simple.

A pack of 5 word border templates that you can finish off with your own colours, styles or other fancy stuff to your liking. I have also included an example of each border. Please notice that the examples are PU Only, but the templates you can do with whatever you please (CU4CU). I hope you can make something spectacular from these – and maybe let me see it?

Click image for direct download (4shared) or use alternative links below image.

Before you leave, I need your feedback on something. I have noticed that NO ONE has been downloading from Box.com lately, and I would like to know it that is caused by some technical error or simply because you don’t like Box. It’s OK if you prefer other hosts, but if that is the case I don’t want to waste my time uploading every time. So could you please drop me a comment so I know? Thanks.

Have a nice Sunday – see you again soon.

9 loved ones…

…or your one and only 9 times.

Today’s Valentine Freebie gives you a heart template with room for 9 pictures. The download brings you one layered psd template with frames and photo masks and one merged frames png. It’s CU so you can use it (almost) as you please.

Have fun with your “heart surgery” – as always I would love to see what you make with it – and come back soon.

Border Patrol

If there is a downside to weekends it must be that they end too soon!

Before my weekend ended I did, however, manage to make you a freebie – or rather, you could say I patrolled the borders of my pending files and found a somewhat illegal alien hiding in the bushes. I took it in, cleaned it up and made it a legal citizen of the scrapping world. If you would like to adopt it just click the download tag underneath the preview.

You can use the borders as overlays, re-colour them, use styles on them – whatever you want – simple, yet versatile…

Before you go, please check in on Your Gallery for the latest layout from Lyn.

I’ll be back tomorrow – will you?

Patch it up!

I really wanted to give you something today but did not have much time. So I visited my Pending folder to look for something “almost finished” and found this Patchwork Template. The reason for its place in the pending folder was that not all the patches were 100% aligned and no matter how hard I tried they still aren’t. So to compensate I added 3 different stitches to “patch it up”. They are white pngs made with actions from Atomic Cupcake and you can re-colour them to match your layout.

See you tomorrow for A Little Bit Friday?

”A Little Bit” Friday

Welcome to my newest invention: ”A Little Bit” Friday…

Lately (evil) tongues have told me that I am giving away too much, too often. That I have been spoiling you rotten! I don’t think that is neither true nor possible. Nothing is ever enough when it comes to scrapping material! But…

I DO think that to learn to appreciate the big things in life, we first have to learn to appreciate the little things. So from now on every Friday will be “A Little Bit” Friday where you get something small and simple (but still great).

Today I have made you a template with room for no less than 16 pictures and text. Go Nuts!

(The Layout used in this preview can be found in “My Gallery”)

I think I might be back on Sunday, so stay tuned – and have a great weekend!
