Autumn – Time for Cosy

As autumn is knocking, it’s time for Cosy….

After a late 5-day heatwave I still enjoy summer-ish days here on the island. I have FINALLY finished with the weed removal and is ready to sow the lawn. It should still be possible to make it grow before it gets too cold. If I succeed you will get a picture 🙂

But you can, however, never be too prepared for autumn. That is why, today, I present you with nothing less than 5 free paper packs with distressed plaid. To me plaid spells autumn/winter and is all time cosy.

Aren’t they amazing? Heat up the chocolate and ring out the mini-marshmellows. It’s time to cosy up 🙂

If anyone is wondering…. We still don’t have our furniture, we still have lack of finances and we still “live in the basement”. I hope our luck will soon change so we can have a normal life – a cosy life.

See you soon.

Autumn?

Is it Autumn I see and feel outside? Is Summer over already?

I am afraid the answer is Yes! I am starting to feel drawn to knitted sweaters and long trousers, and I am no longer eating salad and ice cream all the time. Autumn is, however, my favourite season, so I’m not like SAD sad, just a bit nostalgic. Autumn don’t have long warm nights, sun tan and 24 hour light.

BUT – Autumn has indoor activities, hot cocoa and lighted candles, and I like that a lot.

That is why I am marking this change in seasons with an appropriate freebie for you: A Tea Pot Pattern Pack.

The pack contains

  • 5 Patters – 1 PAT and 5 Seamless Squares
  • 5 transparent Overlays (PNG)
  • 12 Papers made from the patterns

Everything is full size, 300 dpi, and you can use it for CU4CU.

It’s getting late now – and dark outside – so I think I’ll cuttle up with coffee and one of my autumn favourites – Pancakes (crepes). And maybe it’s time to plan for all my Christmas Freebies…. No, not yet. I need to be sure that summer is over before I take that step.

Enjoy your Sunday – no matter what season you have. I’ll be back soon.

Therapy – News from the Medicine Cabinet

Therapy has been needed….

The last week or so I have had an urgent need for Creative Therapy. I won’t go into details, just say that things are not going good with the move. So as always when I find myself in a crisis, I turn to PS Action Designing as my therapy. Easy and simple and taking my mind off the bad stuff. When the world is crumpling – turn to creating.

The good thing about the bad thing is that YOU get to harvest the produce…

I have made a BIG bundle for the Medicine Cabinet/Uppers in the most “Upping” colours. It’s called “A Year in Colour” and provide you with loads of basic elements and papers to use for adding to your own designs. The colour palette is not my own – it’s stolen… You can read more about that on the download page.

Sunday Freebie 1 – Tree Papers

It is SO strange to be back. I can hardly remember how anything is done and everything takes forever…. But at the same time it feels GREAT! I feel I’m back where I belong. So be ready for A LOT of freebies over the next weeks – I’m having a blast. And I think the techniques will quickly come back to me.

The first freebie today brings you two big bundles of Tree Papers. I must admit that I like them a lot. I find them both beautiful and relaxing and the colours are among my favourites.

The first pack is in brown colours and contains 30 papers. They are all 12×12, 300 dpi, JPGs. And you can use them for CU4CU.

COFFEE – Designer’s Fuel

Coffee – can you live without it?

Hello to you all – and hello October, my dear friend.

Today I want to combine two things that are both very important to me: Coffee and Autumn!

Finally, we have moved into autumn and yesterday I was actually freezing my sweet behind off. But I love it. I love the cold, the wind, the rain. I love the falling leaves and the early dusk. I love that it is now OK to snuggle up at 8 o’clock at night without feeling guilty because the weather outside is demanding your presence. I love knitted sweaters and  long walks. And I love that I can shift from “Latte Ice” to hot, steaming black with cinnamon 🙂

All of this is the reason for today’s freebies – 3 of them! I have made you a little bundle of Coffee Joy to lift your spirits and keep you warm.

All material is made from this colour palette that you are free to download and use as you wish:

Coffee Alpha – Re-posted

Sometimes I make something so good I can let myself try and make something new in the same category. That is how I feel about my “Coffee Alpha” that I made for a Pixelscrapper Challenge last year. I therefore re-post it as a part of this Bundle.

Apple Pie Alpha (CU)

Time for Apple Pie

It’s Sunday, it’s autumn and all you need now is Apple Pie. What could be better than snuggling up with a cup of coffee/tea and a big slice of home made apple pie with lots of whipped cream or sour cream. I think that is one of the easy ways to happiness.

But baking apple pie is not something you do with a “shake-and-bake” – it takes time. So today I have done what I can to deliver you instant apple pie in a zip file. An alpha made with the most delicious pie style I have ever seen. You get A-Z, 0-9 and a few pies to go along with it. I have also made the alpha in two versions – one with drop shadows a one without, you take the one you like the best (or both?). I do, however, need to warn you – they are both big files so have patience when downloading. But when it’s done you can then snuggle up in front of your computer with your coffee/tea and WRITE with you apple pie. That is guaranteed non-fattening!

Wallpaper installation

Before I go I would like to try and help those of you who don’t know how to install Wednesday’s Wallpapers as your computer background.

I know you have many different operating systems and versions of them, so the best I can do for you is let you know how it’s done on my computer.

  • First I check my screen solution in “Control Panels” to make sure I choose the right version of the wallpaper.
  • Then I go to the folder where I keep the wallpaper file, right click on it and choose “use as desktop background”.
  • And wupti – it’s done!

If you have Windows you should also be able to do it in “Control Panels” under “Screen”.

I hope this could help just a few of you.

Now enjoy your Sunday and your Apple Pie and come back soon.
