If I haven’t said it already – Happy New Year to you all!
It has NOT been a happy 2015 for me so far, so I want to start this post with a personal update. If you don’t give a hoot about that skip to the next headline….
I started the new year feeling crappy physically – coughing, runny nose and all the other joys of a cold. I was also tired all the time, probably the cold in combination with my MS fatigue. And on top of that my MS made it hard for me to walk and my brain was not co-operating with me in any way.
Then on the 6th I had a meeting with my caseworker about my sickness benefits, and my world crashed. I will not waist your time describing the problems with the Danish public service, just say it’s designed to make sick people feel even worse…
I ended up with a moderate depression and has now added anti-depressives to my long list of medication. Sometimes life is just NOT what you want it to be……. I am sleeping most of the time and when I’m up I’m chain-smoking and drinking coffee by the gallon and feeling sorry for myself.
I am starting to feel a bit better and yesterday I felt good enough to take “my own medicine” = designing therapy. So I turned on the computer and made a Cheer Up Kit. It is mostly made with PS Actions as my brain is still not able to work on it’s own and my right hand is having spasms so working with a mouse is “highly entertaining”.
Cheer Up Kit
This kit is made to make me AND you feel happy, and what is more happy than coloured dots and lots of them….?
The kit contains 10 pattern packs with a paper and 9 elements each to cheer up any layout.
In the last freebie with plain vs stained papers the favourite turned out to be the stained version. And I didn’t even asked…
Therefore, I am now bringing you a double feature of more stained papers, just because you showed your liking of them. It’s actually more than a double feature – it’s a fivefold since one of the freebies is a 4-pack. That means 5 packs of stained papers just for you.
Stained Blossoming Stripes
The fist one is a stained version of the “Blossoming Striped PP” I posted earlier this year. It contains 12 papers in yummy colours that are all CU4CU.
A pack of 4 sets of stained papers – also papers that have been posted as plain earlier. The pack contains “Stained Butterflies” (CU), “Stained Tulips” (CU4CU), “Stained Foliage” (CU) and “Stained Ornaments” (CU). 21 papers in total.
I hope you will like these as much as the previous and make a stained mark on your creations.
As mentioned last time I am preparing for Halloween at the moment. It will be a little less scary than the previous years, but still dark and gloomy. I have decided to make this year’s Halloween freebies a battle between Dark & Light and hope for the best.
I hope you will all join me in this dark side/light side battle over the next week or two – I promise there will be very little blood and a minimum of heart-stopping scares.
Well, I’m done with my treatment and is now only waiting for the side effects to linger off. It’s strange that side effects often are worse that the illness you get treated for… But I’m getting there and I’m back today to give you a freebie oozing of summer. I have made you a paper pack of summer coloured, butterfly framed papers to brighten up your layouts.
You get 12 papers – 6 with cream background/coloured frames and 6 with coloured backgrounds and cream frames. All are 12 x 12, 300 dpi, and may be used for Commercial Use.
I have also uploaded 9 new products to the Members Area as mentioned in the latest Newsletter. Included is an “exclusive” version of today’s freebie – a pack of Butterfly Framed Papers where the frames are silver… They are now all ready for downloading in the following categories:
NOTICE – If you feel tempted to become a member, please hold on for a while. I am planning to have a Members Fee Sale later this month and I don’t want to take full price for it and the lower the price a few days later. So just hang tight and I will return with the details. All the products will still be available for you.
I will be back again soon with another element freebie, so stay tuned…
Add-Ons – aren’t they just the best? Usually, when I have these theme weeks or months, I finish off with a “Doggy Bag” made from all the stuff I didn’t use. But this time I used all my material and had nothing left for a doggy bag. So what do one do…? Add-Ons!
I have made you an Add-On Bundle for Friday’s Grunge Papers – mostly because that was one piece that was suitable for all year use, but also because it was a popular pack. In the Add-Ons Bundle you’ll get:
8 Grunge Flowers – I left out the centre piece so you can add the one you want.
8 Grunge Butterflies – they are pre-shadowed, otherwise they wouldn’t be alive
8 Grunge Tags – also printable for your autumn preserves 🙂
Everything is made from the Grunge Papers and I have to admit: I like it a lot. Please notice that each part of the bundle has its own TOU so check the individual previews.
BUT you know me… I have some difficulties limiting myself when I first get started. Therefore, I have a Bonus Add-On for you – a tiny little bonus add-on. It consists of 50 tiny brads (app. 1 cm) in the shapes square, round, diamond, oval and rectangle. Again suitable for all year use. And yes – I know I have put the wrong number of brads on the preview but better less than more, right. I have also included the circle of all the brads used for the preview, just in case you could fin use for it.
